Making Forums Private?

If you (the reader) been to other forums, you might notice that some are private until you register. o__o
Shouldn't we do the same thing, since...well...we wouldn't want outsiders to know everything private. (Like our guild member pictures)
Basically, should we make our forums private or stay unique?
